This is a gorgeous 12th-century Castle in the very heart of Chianti Classico, which sits on a hill, surrounded by groves of olive trees and vineyards. It has a true Tuscan atmosphere.
Its location on the top of a hill overlooking the Greve valley, just 18 km from Florence and 38 from Siena, has proved to be a very strategic position over the centuries. In its long and glorious history, many celebrities stayed at the Castle, including Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo stayed at the Castle during the period in which he painted his masterpiece, the Monna Lisa.
It is a unique experience to stay in a Castle that is also a working wine estate of the Chianti Classico area and ranked amongst Italy’s top wine producers.
All accommodation combines historic charm with modern service and facilities. There are 17 apartments/suites for a total capacity of 42/45 guests.
